Damaging back rower and proud clubman, Marcos Flegmann, has been appointed ‘The Greatest Bar’ Boston 13s captain for 2014.
Flegmann joined the 13s back in 2012 after graduating from nearby Babson College. He has been a major part of the fabric of the club ever since, and is set to have huge year in the Boston 13s engine room alongside some equally impressive compatriots.
“We wanted someone who believes in what we’re trying to achieve at the club”
13s Head Coach Robin Peers commented, “While still in his early 20s, Marcos has shown some great leadership in his time with us and we are delighted he accepted the captaincy for 2014. He currently plays at the highest level of rugby union in the US with the Boston Rugby Club, as well as being a regular of the Mexican national team. His experience at this level of rugby is invaluable and we know he will lead by example”.
Dustin Cooper, the man handing over the reigns, added, “Marcos was the first name to come to mind when Robin and I spoke about the captaincy. We wanted someone who believes in what we’re trying to achieve here at the club, and ‘Contodo’ is that guy. He possesses all the qualities you want in a skipper”.
